Work with us
Collaboration starts with a well-defined question
Research collaborations
- electrophysiology and neural-circuit analysis in tumour-bearing brain;
- glioma biology and spatially resolved tissue characterisation;
- electrochemical, impedance, Raman and optical sensing;
- multimodal data alignment, signal processing and interpretable modelling;
- neuromorphic computation, event-driven sensing, in-memory processing and non-von Neumann hardware;
- neurosurgical workflow, functional mapping and clinical-study design;
- neural-interface materials, fabrication and instrumentation;
- quality, regulatory and human-factors methods for research technologies; and
- patient and public involvement in brain-tumour research.
When you get in touch, it helps to include the research question, the complementary expertise or resource you have in mind, the evidence or data already available, and the stage at which you would like to collaborate.
Programme funding and technology development
We welcome conversations with research funders, philanthropic organisations, technology partners and academic collaborators interested in supporting neuromorphic and non-von Neumann neural-interface research, from a defined architecture to staged, testable systems. Individual supporters can find out more on the support page.
Prospective students and researchers
Projects may span experimental neuroscience, biosensing, instrumentation, computation and translational research. Please send:
- a short description of the question that interests you;
- why this lab is a good setting for that question;
- your current experience and the methods you would like to develop;
- a CV; and
- any relevant timing or funding route.
An enquiry does not imply that a funded position is available. Advertised opportunities will be listed with an institutional vacancy link and closing date.
Patients and the public
Patient and public perspectives shape how research questions, study procedures and communication are developed. The lab does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or access to clinical trials through this website. For personal medical questions, please contact your clinical team or an appropriate health service.
